Machinery Sales Person Stranraer

Continued growth has opened and exciting opportunity to join the Machinery Team at Carr’s Billington, covering our territory in South West Scotland (based from our newly opened Stranraer Branch).  We are a leading supplier of agricultural products to farmers in the UK with a large footprint of Country Stores and Machinery Depots.

The Job

To work both on farm and from our machinery depots, supporting existing customers and  developing new business with a well established name in agriculture. You will work with world leading suppliers & brands including Massey Ferguson, Krone, Weidemann, Teagle, Ovlac, Broughan, Hispec, Yamaha, Connor & many more other leading names to offer customers a first-class service in supplying machinery & equipment.

We are looking for either established sales people with the right attitude, who wish to further their career and we also welcome applications from new entrants to machinery sales who wish to forge a career path with a long established machinery dealer.

You will develop long term relationships with customers through on farm visits & by utilising all types of communication.

Using tools such as CRM and a knowledge of potential customer requirements, you will work with attention to detail and go the extra mile to provide win win solutions for our customers & our business.

From initial enquiry, through to demonstration, the sale and customer follow up, you will need to work closely with workshop’s, parts and existing sales teams to deliver the most comprehensive service to our new & existing customers.

Qualities

Knowledge of the Agricultural Industry and Machinery in general would be advantageous.  A positive attitude, resourceful nature and willingness to learn coupled with a desire to forge a long-term career within a large and well respected employer is a must!        Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are key qualities required.

Full training & support will be provided both in house and with our range of suppliers.      A knowledge of Microsoft systems would be advantageous as we move to a more digital way of working.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm with some overtime required subject to business needs and seasonal demands including Saturday mornings. The nature of this role means a willingness to work outside normal business hours throughout the week and weekends when required.

Technical & Professional Expertise

  • To ensure that all policies and procedures in respect of Security and Health & Safety are adhered to, in order to provide a safe and secure environment for self, colleagues and customers.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license.

Parts Manager Stranraer

Carr’s Billington are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to lead and develop the Parts Department within our newly opened branch at Stranraer.

Duties

To manage and develop an Agricultural Machinery Parts Department, supporting the needs of our customers and internal teams across the full product range offered by Carr’s Billington. Including: Massey Ferguson, Krone, Weidemann, Teagle, Ovlac and Stihl to name a few.

You will join an established team of experienced staff already employed within a large and progressive company and be responsible for all aspects of work within the department including: Telesales, Counter service, Parts identification, Goods Inwards, Stocktaking, Retail area stocking and preparation, deliveries, workshop service and parts support and a variety of other duties.

You will lead the parts department, working for the General Manager, and be responsible for growing sales and supporting the Workshop in line with company aspirations.

In addition to our key franchises, we also supply parts and accessories for any make and model of Agricultural Machinery along with Domestic and Professional Groundcare Equipment.

Qualities

Knowledge of the Agricultural Industry and Machinery in general is very desirable along with previous parts/management experience. A positive attitude, keen eye for detail, resourceful nature and willingness to learn coupled with a desire to forge a long-term career within a large and well-respected employer is a must!

Full training will be offered to the right candidate.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm and Saturday cover from 9-12am on a rota basis, governed by seasonal demands. Additional hours required as per business needs.

Technician Stranraer

Carr’s Billington are seeking an experienced and motivated Agricultural Technician to join the workshop covering our expanded Massey Ferguson trading area in South West Scotland.

Duties

To work as an Agricultural Machinery Technician. Reporting to the General Manager and supporting the needs of our customers and internal teams across the full product range offered by Carr’s Billington in this area with a primary focus on Massey Ferguson and Krone.

Following initial training, the work will be based from our newly established and expanding premises in the Stranraer area to cover a large part of South West Scotland. Therefore, we welcome applicants from around the whole area.

You will join an established team of experienced Agricultural staff and be involved in all aspects of work within the Service Department: Supporting new and used equipment both in the depot and on customers premises. Duties will include: Machine PDI and preparation, general service and repairs and customer liaison.

In addition to our key franchises, we also supply parts and accessories for any make and model of agricultural machinery and will prepare and retail a selection of used machinery from the site too in time.

Qualities

Knowledge of the Agricultural Industry and Machinery in general is very desirable along with a proven track record in a technical role.

A positive attitude, keen eye for detail, resourceful nature and willingness to learn coupled with a desire to forge a long-term career within a large and well respected employer is a must!

Full product training will be offered to the right candidate.
