Credit Controller

An exciting new opportunity to join Carr’s Billington Agriculture (Sales) Ltd as a Credit Controller has opened based at our Head Office in Carlisle.

We are a leading supplier of agricultural products to farmers in the UK with a large footprint of Country Stores and Machinery Depots.

The Job

Taking a proactive role in collecting outstanding overdue monies of company debtors. Ensuring customer balance queries are met effectively and efficiently. Completing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and duties including processing of direct debit payments. Taking payments and recording all notes onto customer accounts. Reviewing and analysing aged debt and making high volumes of calls to recover monies. Identifying problem debt accounts and working for solutions. New account evaluation and underwriting. Actively promote and support credit control for all stakeholders.

Experience

  • Previous credit control experience
  • Experience in handling high volumes of calls – both payments and enquiries
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint

Workshop Manager Carlisle

Due to internal promotion – Carr’s Billington are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead the Workshop Team within their established Machinery Branch at Carlisle.

Duties

To lead and develop the Service Department alongside the Workshop Foreman, supporting the needs of our customers and internal teams across the full product range offered by Carr’s Billington in the area. Including: Massey Ferguson, Krone, Horsch, BVL, Weidemann, Ovlac, Yamaha, Teagle and Stihl to name a few.

You will join an established team of experienced Agricultural staff already employed within a large and progressive company and be responsible for all aspects of work within the Service Department including: Customer management and liaison, team management and development, department financials and the successful candidate will form the key link between the Sales and Parts departments.

You will be supported by existing specialists on site and join a network of 11 other Machinery Branches across our trading area. The current Workshop Manager remains within the business in a key group aftersales support role and a full handover/training program will be available.

In addition to our key franchises, we also supply parts and accessories for any make and model of agricultural machinery along with a range of Domestic and Professional Groundcare Equipment.

Qualities

Knowledge of the Agricultural Industry and Machinery in general is very desirable. A positive attitude, keen eye for detail, resourceful nature and willingness to learn coupled with a desire to lead a team and forge a long-term career within a large and well-respected employer is a must!

Full training will be offered to the right candidate.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm with some overtime required subject to business needs and seasonal demands including Saturday mornings.

Continued growth has opened exciting opportunities to join Carr’s Billington in becoming part of our Agricultural Field Sales Team in various areas of Cumbria.

We are a leading supplier of feed, good advice and agricultural products to farmers in the UK with a large footprint of Country Stores and Machinery Depots.

We are currently looking for ruminant sales advisors both with or without experience in sales and nutrition. Must have a strong interest in farming and sales. We have roles in the following areas:

  • Feed
  • Dairy Nutrition
  • Fertiliser
  • Animal Health
  • Dairy Consumables
  • Minerals, Blocks and Buckets
  • Agricultural and Rural Supplies

The Role

To develop, grow and maximise the profitable sale products to customers and prospects within an agreed Sales Policy and Sales Territory. To achieve the agreed budget and target levels in terms of both volume and margin of manufactured feed and agricultural supplies required through the effective management of the territory customer base and prospects. To implement marketing strategies and ensure sales targets are met whilst developing and growing the Sales Territory. To contribute to the effective operation of the business as an integral member of the sales team and the Carr’s Billington team as a whole.
