ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible to: Infrastructure Manager

The Job

The Security & Infrastructure Engineer will protect Carr’s Billington Agriculture infrastructure estate covering end user compute, servers (cloud and on premise) and network. Additionally, the role will support, maintain, and develop the IT infrastructure so both current and future needs can be sustained.

The role involves being required to install and configure security solutions, performing, monitoring and testing to detect security vulnerabilities. The job involves implementing security policies to administer IT infrastructure to ensure the estate performs as designed to.

Skills, Experience and Qualities Required

Essential

  • Microsoft stack/ecosystems for end user compute and server environments; including Windows, Windows Server, Azure, Exchange, O365, M365, Active Directory, AzureAD, MS Endpoint Manager (Intune).
  • Standard network protocols i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP and SMTP.
  • ISO 27001/2, NIST, PCI, SOX, ITGC, or other security frameworks.
  • LAN/WAN – Cisco Networking, including Cisco Meraki.
  • VMware.
  • 3 years’ experience in a technical IT infrastructure role.
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in infrastructure related security roles.
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience of Cloud technologies

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Freshdesk.
  • Experience of Cloud migrations.
  • Experience of working within the agriculture or food manufacturing industries.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible to: Service Desk Supervisor
Department: IT
Location: Carlisle, with travel to company locations as required.
Term: Full-Time, permanent
Salary: Up to £30,000, dependent on experience

The Job

The Service Desk Engineers will ensure the recording of reported IT service issues and service requests and working to either restore service as quickly as possible or alerting and/or escalating them to the appropriate specialist support groups within the Group IT Team. The role requires experience in technical troubleshooting, first point contact with end-users and customer service. Experience of D365 would be considered advantageous, particularly supporting D365 Finance & Operations environments.

The successful candidates will also be responsible for triaging issues and service requests, troubleshooting colleague issues, providing ‘how to’ assistance on internal systems. The role requires the building of relationships with specialist support groups/subject matter experts to ensure that IT-delivered services and end-user productivity goals are understood and met or exceeded.

Skills, Experience and Qualities Required

Essential

  • Excellent customer service, stakeholder management and third-party management skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including those related to printing problems.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to learn new technology and applications.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016, O365, M365, legacy Microsoft Office, Microsoft Active Directory and Dynamics 365.
  • Installation and configuration of business software.
  • Find solutions to problems and have a hands-on approach to support activities.
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a technical troubleshooting and/or first point contact with end-users and/or customer service role.
  • 1 to 2 years relevant support experience of D365 applications, preferably Finance & Operations (F&O).

This role is responsible for providing D365 technical and functional expertise, requiring an analyst practiced in D365 project implementations and transitions, ensuring business requirements are gathered and subsequent technical/functional resolutions are implemented appropriately. In addition, the role will ensure efficient and effective business as usual operation of D365, including remediation of issues. Experience of D365 independent software vendor (ISV) solutions for the agriculture or food manufacturing industries would be considered advantageous, as would exposure to all forms of testing within the development/change lifecycle.

Skills, Experience and Qualities Required

  • D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) including Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Retail) and Finance.
  • LCS (Life Cycle Services), Azure, Azure DevOps.
  • Business process mapping.

Location: Carlisle, Cumbria, with flexibility to travel to all our locations. Hybrid role with at least 2 days per week based at our head office in Carlisle.
Term: Full-Time, permanent.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

The Job

The Junior Buyer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting category management and the daily management of Product File and manage these areas to ensure what the stores are receiving is correct and with up to date information.
  • Focus on gaining right first time for product information, cost and retail prices on the system.
  • Supporting the Product Manager in the day-to-day activity and detail of products with suppliers and in the market.
  • Develop relationships across the business, especially with retail and sales teams and be able to discuss and support the requirements of the business.

Skills, Experience and Qualities Required

  • Experience or knowledge of procurement, supply chains and retail sales within the agricultural sector.
  • Highly competent user of MS Excel (essential).
  • Experience or a qualification in an agriculture related discipline (desirable).
  • Understanding of the industry and an appreciation of the impact seasons can have on the business.
  • Able to prioritise effectively and identify the needs of the business.
