ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible to: Infrastructure Manager
Department: IT
Location: Carlisle, with travel to company locations as required
Term: Full-Time, permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
The Job
The Security & Infrastructure Engineer will protect Carr’s Billington Agriculture infrastructure estate covering end user compute, servers (cloud and on premise) and network. Additionally, the role will support, maintain, and develop the IT infrastructure so both current and future needs can be sustained.
The role involves being required to install and configure security solutions, performing, monitoring and testing to detect security vulnerabilities. The job involves implementing security policies to administer IT infrastructure to ensure the estate performs as designed to.
Skills, Experience and Qualities Required
Essential
- Microsoft stack/ecosystems for end user compute and server environments; including Windows, Windows Server, Azure, Exchange, O365, M365, Active Directory, AzureAD, MS Endpoint Manager (Intune).
- Standard network protocols i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP and SMTP.
- ISO 27001/2, NIST, PCI, SOX, ITGC, or other security frameworks.
- LAN/WAN – Cisco Networking, including Cisco Meraki.
- VMware.
- 3 years’ experience in a technical IT infrastructure role.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in infrastructure related security roles.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience of Cloud technologies
Desirable
- Knowledge of Freshdesk.
- Experience of Cloud migrations.
- Experience of working within the agriculture or food manufacturing industries.
