FULL-TIME - MILL OPERATOR AND ENGINEERING SUPPORT, CARLISLE

 

Carrs Billington Agriculture (Operations) Ltd., part of The Billington Group, have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Mill Operator and Engineering Support to work at our Carlisle mill. The mill produces ruminant feed for the farming community across the North of England and Scotland.

This role requires the successful candidate to operate areas of the mill safely and efficiently to ensure the production and dispatch of correct product in line with UFAS regulations. The role also involves working alongside the Site Engineer to carry out maintenance and engineering duties and will also be required to provide cover for different areas of the mill.

The successful candidate will hold/have:

  • A recognised mechanical/engineering qualification
  • Experience of working in a busy manufacturing/maintenance environment
  • A team player and ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work using your own initiative
  • Experience of working in a busy manufacturing and/or agricultural environment
  • The ability to carry out plant maintenance competently and safely
  • A flexible approach to working and the ability to work a rotating shift pattern.

EXPERIENCED WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN, CARLISLE

 

Carrs Billington is a major supplier of world leading brands of Agricultural Machinery including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Krone, Kuhn and Yamaha

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual for our multi-franchise machinery business based at Carlisle. The successful applicant must have experience in the repair of tractors and machinery with an interest in tractors including mechanical and electric systems and self-propelled forage harvesters. We are looking for someone with a high standard of IT skills, communication, workmanship, attention to detail and someone who is happy working away on site as much as in the busy workshop.
